Artist Overview
Dylan Brenneis is an interdisciplinary artist and Master of Fine Arts student whose research-creation practice explores relationships between humans and the machines they create. Through a reflexive process of machine building, Dylan’s research involves a constant re-negotiation and blurring of the human-machine boundary. His work draws on experiences as a Senior Research Engineer at Google DeepMind and with developing internationally adopted open-source robots for prosthesis control research at the BLINC Lab.
For the McMullen Gallery, Dylan will present a responsive kinetic sculptural installation that explores the development of assistive technology as a harmonious sequence of choreographed movements between humans and machines.
